Vivo X Fold design officially confirmed ahead of April 11 launch in China

Vivo has officially teased the design of the X Fold in China. The company will launch its first foldable smartphone in China next month. At the April 11 event, the company confirmed the launch of the X Fold and Vivo Pad. The company is also expected to launch the rumored X Note smartphone alongside. Vivo also teased the design of the Vivo Pad.

A few weeks before the launch, the company has now revealed the official design of the X Fold. The foldable smartphone will have a similar folding mechanism as the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Let’s take a look at the design, specs, features and other details of the Vivo X Fold.

Vivo X Fold Design teased

Vivo X Fold will be the company’s first smartphone to launch in China on April 11. The foldable smartphone is expected to launch in other markets soon. Prior to launch, Vivo confirmed the design of the device. The phone’s foldable screen has a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the right side. Vivo has yet to officially confirm the screen size. Rumors suggest that the device will sport an 8-inch foldable display with QHD+ resolution. It will also support a 120Hz refresh rate.

The outer screen is curved and also features a perforated cutout at the top center of the screen. The cover screen is rumored to be 6.53 inches tall. It will feature Full HD+ resolution, but there’s no official word yet on high refresh rate support.

On the back, there is a huge rectangular block sitting on top of the textured panel. A circular camera module sits on top of this block, which houses a quad-camera setup. The images confirm the inclusion of a periscope lens setup. The foldable phone is rumored to have a 50MP main camera and a 48MP ultrawide camera. It will also feature a 12MP portrait camera with 2x zoom and an 8MP sensor with 5x zoom support.

The design images further reveal that the foldable phone has the power and volume keys on the right edge. There is also an alert slider on the left side of the frame. Other leaked details include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 4600mAh battery and support for 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging.
