The Nothing(1) phone will be announced in India on July 12. Ahead of launch, pretty much everything has already been leaked online, including specs and price. So far, the company has confirmed the design and name of the chipset that will power the Nothing phone. If you are planning to buy this 5G smartphone then keep reading to know more about the features, design, expected price in India and availability details of the Nothing phone.
Nothing phone (1): Expected price in India
The Nothing(1) phone is expected to cost less than Rs 40,000 considering the features it could offer. The base variant will likely be the 128GB storage model. A leak recently claimed that the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage will cost $469, or around 38,700 rupees in India when converted. Our guess is that the OnePlus 10R sells with a starting price of Rs 38,999, so the Nothing phone could be announced in a similar or a little lower price range than that. We’re almost a week away from the launch event, after which you’ll find out the official price of the Nothing (1) phone.
Nothing phone (1): Availability or sale details
The device is not readily available as the company has limited stock. This is Nothing’s first smartphone and he has decided to follow the invitation system originally introduced by OnePlus.
You will need the pre-order pass to reserve the Nothing phone. For this, you must have an invitation code. People will need to register on Nothing’s official website and join the waitlist. Here you will need to provide some details including your email address. If you are lucky you will be selected and receive the invite code on your email id. If you are a community member of Nothing, you don’t need to wait for the invite code.
Once you receive the invite code, you can purchase the pre-order pass through Flipkart. After that, when the Nothing(1) phone is on pre-order, you can reserve the device. Remember that the waiting list will only be visible until July 3.
Phone Nothing (1): Design
The company has already shown the design of the smartphone. It comes with a unique design that the company calls a Glyph interface. The rear panel has a customizable lighting system in different ways. There are 900 LEDs inside the rows on the back that light up when the device receives notifications or when the camera needs extra light. On the front is a punch-hole display design, which you typically see on most phones these days.
The Nothing phone does not have a headphone jack and comes with wireless charging support. It is currently unknown whether or not the handset will have an IP rating. It should also have an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Nothing phone (1): expected features, specifications
Tipster Abhishek Yadav claims to have had access to the Nothing phone specs. The cited source says that the device will arrive with a 6.55-inch OLED display that will support 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which is expected. The front and back are said to have Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, which the company has already confirmed. In terms of optics, there could be a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. Users will be able to record 4K video at 60 fps. The handset will come with Android 12 out of the box.
